Procurement helps Michael Page book profit hike
The news, which comes at a time when many recruitment firms are feeling the effects of the global economic slowdown, is another sign that businesses are increasingly looking to procurement to help them maintain a competitive advantage.
The first six months of 2008 saw Michael Page record a profit of £84.1m, as revenues increased 17 per cent to £500m, despite a downturn in its financial services recruitment.
Profits from its engineering and manufacturing, procurement and supply chain and property and construction businesses, increased by 39 per cent
