Emptoris announces 68% sales growth

Emptoris has announced a 68 per cent year-on-year increase in sales growth in the first half of 2006 following the launch of new supply and contract management software.

In the second quarter the supply and contract management software provider rolled out the Emptoris 6 suite and certified SAP process integrations using the NetWeaver platform.

It has also announced the launch of a new services offering, Overdrive, to help companies accelerate business impact through stronger sourcing programme management.

The company said its strong sales growth was fuelled by new customers, continued acceleration in overseas markets, and organic growth generated by significant new innovations to its solution suite.

It said customers showed strong demand for Emptoris spend analysis, sourcing and contract management solutions, with the biggest demand coming from companies looking for a broad integrated suite.

"Emptoris' strong organic and new customer growth clearly demonstrates the market’s demand for and adoption of our award-winning solutions," said Avner Schneur, Emptoris' chief executive officer.

"In the first half of 2006, Emptoris continued to demonstrate clear leadership in the supply and contract management software market by aggressively implementing strategic expansion and growing our services offerings, to ensure we exceed our customer's demands."

Earlier this year, Emptoris completed its merger with diCarta, the leading provider of enterprise contract management software. The combination enabled the company to offer a more comprehensive enterprise-wide supply and contract management solution to customers.

Meanwhile, the Emptoris announced company yesterday announced the acquisition of MINDFLOW Technologies, a recognised innovator in inbound supply chain planning and sourcing optimisation.

With the acquisition, Emptoris expanded its market-leadership, added a number of major new customers, and further strengthened the company’s vertical industry expertise and team of sourcing professionals and developers.

"Our transition to the Emptoris platform is proceeding exceedingly well thanks to the high-level of executive attention and spirit of collaboration Emptoris brings to the conversion," commented Dennis Clabby, vice president of Purchasing, Independent Purchasing Cooperative (IPC), the purchasing arm for Subway restaurants in North America and a strategic MINDFLOW customer.

"The company's market leadership and comprehensive suite of solutions give us confidence that the acquisition will continue to serve our benefit."
