Burgeoning Internet population set to spark e-commerce boom in China
E-commerce is set to boom in China, according to Beijing-based research firm BDA.
The company made the prediction after the publication of latest figures suggested that China had overtaken the US as the biggest global Internet user.
The BDA said they believed Chinese businesses would now reap the benefits of a newly emerging online consumer market.
“China will emerge as part of an Asian ‘New California’ where innovative applications and companies help consumer trends globally,” said BDA chairman Duncan Clark.
