Travel spend under the microscope at PwC
PricewaterhouseCoopers is set to cut its travel procurement spend, as it looks to reduce its carbon emissions by 20 per cent by 2012.
The announcement comes after the company a series of initiatives aimed at analysing the impact of areas such as its supply chain, travel and employee commuting over the past 12 months.
The company has already implemented a series of moves aimed at greening its travel policy.
In January, PwC began restricting the choice of new vehicles under its contract hire scheme to those that emit a maximum of 265 grams of CO2 per kilometre.
This looks set to continue, with the company now looking to restrict non-essential business travel in addition to employing greater use of video-conferencing.
