Case Study 1 - Deutsche Post WorldNet
With the aim of establishing group-wide transparency of the efficiency of its top suppliers, BrainNet developed and successfully implemented the “Corporate Supplier Management Mode (CoSMo)” for Deutsche Post World Net.

A worldwide standardised evaluation system shows the development potential for suppliers, thus laying the foundations for efficient cooperation. The “CoSMo” supplier management model ensures a standardised and interdisciplinary approach for supplier evaluation right across the group.

Focus is not limited to purely economic factors. Consideration is also given to suppliers’ compliance with environmental considerations and ethical principles. As a result, complete transparency regarding supply and efficiency is established, forming the basis for appropriate development. At the same time, purchasing functions are supported regarding the selection of new and suitable suppliers and the further development of the existing supplier portfolio.

Consequently, the evaluation results generated using CoSMo form the basis for the optimisation of the value chain. Consistent supplier management supports the sustained profitability and innovative power of the Deutsche Post World Net group.
